I am writing to share my recent experience at Hoehn Mercedes-Benz. I did not have a good experience at Hoehn Mercedes-Benz of Carlsbad. It was a combination of the car dealer Vas Chohan and general manager Dave Olds. The pre-owned Mercedes I purchased, had been smoked in and was also in need of $9,000 in repairs. Vas was not transparent at all, tried pushing the problem onto other departments instead of handling it himself and luckily the office made a typo on my return deadline and I was able to return the vehicle. If you google customer service, the top result should be Aaron Corp. I scheduled an appointment to have my sprinter checked out, it was struggling to hold RPMs uphill. When I arrived Aaron greeted me and pointed out the large amount of sprinters on the lot and that it could be tough to get my van back same day. Sales experience was OK, but I am always frustrated with the "service" department. They are absolutely not there take care of customers. I really like my car, but hate taking it in for service.

Just finished trading in my car for an AMG in their inventory, and wanted to recommend Billy Daniels for anyone considering doing the same. I walked in late on a Wednesday morning and drove out with my wife in our AMG GLC the next afternoon. Actually got a fair price for my trade-in. I think that the people that work at Hoehn are all great. I have been treated very well and that is not where the problem lies. I have had my E400 Cabriolet in for service 3 times for the same issue. Window seal noise between the front and back window. For whatever reason they can’t fix it. I even went as far as going to another dealership and test driving a used E400 of the same year as mine and a brand new one and neither have this issue. I was having hydraulic problems with my SL500's top, so after dinner on Thursday, my wife and I drove around the dealerships in Carlsbad. We got out and were walking around the Hoehn BM-B lot at closing time, a gentleman asked if he needed help while he was checking the vehicles to ensure they were locked, we said no. Brought My Mercedes Sprinter in for AC service and Airbag recall replacement. Hoehn Motors Carlsbad had the vehicle for 2 days waiting for parts. They returned the vehicle and there were issues.
1. fan shrouding on top of radiiator was not installed at All!!!! and dangerously close to being sucked into the fan.
2. Hoehn Motors Carlsbad failed to replace the cap on both the high and low AC connection valves exposing them to contamination.

I brought in my Sprinter RV for a new fuel pump. They got me checked in promptly. Reviewed expected cost and offered me a shuttle home, although I already had a ride to pick me up. They called me later that day to say things were finished. I asked them to leave the RV up near the office and I'd be right in to pick it up. When I arrived it was right there, shiny and freshly washed. Paid and drove away within minutes. Easy.

As usual Hoehn Mercedes did it's outstanding job to correct a problem with my wife's car. I always have an positive experience when I bring my Mercedes in for servicing at Hoehn. I've had the same customer service person, Dan Reeves, for several years and Dan provides great support. It's nice to have continuity with the people you deal with when you get your car serviced. I was worried that I was going to have a buy an expensive headlight replacement because one of my headlights was cloudy. Excellent Service Department operates with integrity. My A/C died. It worked 1 hour earlier. Diagnosis: faulty compressor, low pressure - $1900 + tax Upon further inquiry it was determined that the compressor was was still functional at a diminished performance level. With winter months approaching, the need for A/C is minimal. I can live with "cool" air (vs. "cold") for the next 6 months. Final outcome: recharge A/C and return to service for $280. Gratitude to the service department for providing me with all the facts and including me in the repair/replace decision.
I recently brought my E400 Cabriolet in for a complete detail. Paul Nelson took care of everything for start to finish. My car was finished before the scheduled time and he contacted me as promised. The service at Hoehn Motors with Paul Nelson exceeds my expectations.
